BACH FESTIVAL 2023

They will return to Grace on SUNDAY, SEPT 24th at 1:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

 Grace’s Bach Festival is coming “bach” this summer!

This renowned celebration features Bach’s music and often, composers of whom Bach influenced. Performers every season have included outstanding DC-area musicians, musicians from around the United States, as well as European musicians. Our Bach Festival takes place in the summer, and our 2023 August Bach Festival will be our 28th Bach Festival.

 

You may purchase tickets in advance (using the form at the bottom of this page) OR at the door on the day of the concert, via cash, check, or credit card.

Tickets are REQUIRED for entry but DO NOT reserve you a seat. Seating is first come, first served.

Doors will open 45 minutes before the published start time for each concert.

Dr. Michał Szostak, organ, Poland

Polish Concert Organist, Dr. Michał Szostak has been a friend of Grace Church since he performed a solo organ recital in the Bach Festival July 2018 series. We welcome Dr. Szostak back to our Bach Festival.

JS Bach’s Fantasia in G Major (Pièce d’orgue), BWV 572
The Canzona d-moll, BWV 588
Antonio Vivaldi’s Spring from “Four Seasons,” RV 269
& an Improvisation.

Dr. David Bond, Organ, Buffalo, New York

Dr. David Bond, Organ, Organist/Choirmaster at First Presbyterian Church, Buffalo, New York. Dr. Bond performed a solo recital in our 2012 Bach Festival, and we welcome him back to our 2023 Festival.

This all JS Bach program includes:

Fantasia in c minor, BWV 562
Prelude & Fugue in E-flat Major, BWV 552 “St. Anne.”
