COMMUNITY
Fellowship is fostered daily
Garden & Grounds
Our grounds and gardens continue to bloom thanks to the hundreds of volunteer hours provided by Grace parishioners and friends
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is at the core of the Christian experience. The Pastoral Care Committee exists to help the church ensure that no one is overlooked
Social Gatherings & Groups
Coffee Hour
Offered every Sunday after the second worship service, the coffee hour at Grace Church has been named one of the best in the city by Washington City Paper. Several parishioners are known for pulling out all the stops to put on an elegant spread, while others provide simple fare that’s also wonderful. The true highlight of coffee hour each week is the time spent in fellowship with Grace members and visitors alike.
Koinonia
Grace Church has a special tradition designed to foster companionship and friendships through a series of potluck dinners in members’ homes.
Koinonia (coin-oh-nee’-ah) is the Greek word for fellowship. There’s nothing formal about the evenings together and no agenda-just a chance to get to know some of the people of Grace with good food and conversation.
Gatherings can be for dinner, brunch, a “cocktail hour,” or whatever format is most convenient for the group. The host usually prepares the main dish while others bring appetizers, side dishes, and dessert. The groups include 8-10 people and rotate 2-3 times per year, giving parishioners the opportunity to get to know a different group.

The Arts
Music on the Lawn
Grace Church offers concerts on the lawn on Thursdays in September, from 5:30–7 pm, and two or three times a year after a Sunday service. We are looking forward to restarting Music on the Lawn again in 2022.
Bach Festival
The Bach Festival has been held every year in July since 1993.
