Join us on Sunday, Nov. 5th following the 10:30 AM service, for our Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting provides a time for the congregation and Vestry to reflect on the past year at Grace in preparation for the next year ahead. The Annual Meeting also provides an opportunity to elect the next class of Vestry Members (see announcement below). All members of Grace are welcome to attend.

There are many things happening at the Annual Meeting! Here are just a few of them:

  • Annual Report | AVAILABLE NOW

The Annual Report for 2023 has been completed and is now available for you to view ahead of the 2023 Annual Meeting. To view the Annual Report, simply click here: 2023 Annual Report with Addenda There will also be paper copies available on Sunday.

  • Vestry Elections

Another important part of our Annual Meeting is the electing of the next class of Vestry Members! There are three Vestry positions that will be up for election. For more information , please contact our current Vestry Secretary, Vicki Carlson, who is chairing the Vestry Nomination Committee, at vicki.j.carlson@gmail.com.

  • Tending our Soil Initiative: TELL US YOUR STORIES | Due Nov 4th

A very important part of the Tending Our Soil initiative is sharing your favorite stories about Grace, stories you feel help explain and describe who Grace is as a church today. The Tending Our Soil team is collecting stories between now and Nov 5 (Grace’s annual meeting) through some structured questions. Whether you’re new to the Grace community or have been part of Grace for a long time, whether you live around the corner or farther away, we want to hear from you.

You’ll have several opportunities to share your stories with us and other members of the congregation, such as:

    • At an upcoming Koinonia gathering.
    • At Grace’s Table on Nov. 4th. Please join us. Guests start arriving by 11am; food is served at 11:30; the story session will be noon to 12:30.
    • Via an Email sent to TendingOurSoil@gracedc.org if you prefer to send your stories in writing. Please email by Nov. 5th, if you choose this option!
    • In person; please let one of team leaders know, or email the team, and we’d be delighted to schedule a call or visit with you.
    • At the annual meeting after church on Sunday, Nov 5.

We’re excited to share the themes and insights from the stories y’all tell at this year’s annual meeting on Nov. 5th. So please take a few moments now to reflect. We look forward to hearing them!
